The teacher is a profession which requires a lot of capability, hard work, dedication etc. They are the developers of a worthy society as they nurture one from the beginning stages of a life. So appropriate eligibility criteria are specified by the educational councils of the country so that the quality of teachers does not get degraded with the due course of time. Variety of aspects are being focussed on in order to become a worthy teacher, and most importantly, it focusses on the qualifications of the aspirants.
Qualifications play a very important factor in the field of teaching. So a person pursuing all the specified qualifications is eligible to become a teacher. These qualifications are necessary because it leads to the overall development of the aspirants in the field of teaching. The qualifications specified are mentioned below:
The foremost qualifications required are the senior secondary certificate that is, 10+2 with an aggregate percentage of 50%. This is the main qualification required. In addition to that, the aspirant should also have pursued a Bachelor’s degree. This could be a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science and it is completely dependent on the aspirants. After the completion of this course, the aspirant should pursue the B.ED degree. This is made compulsory for the aspirants nowadays, because, these degrees help a lot in the overall development of the aspirants regarding various aspects including teaching, communicative skills, modern methods, smartness etc. This degree enhances the quality of teaching by the aspirants. So it is a must in order to be eligible for the post of a teacher.
Thus, the aspirants should have a minimum of these qualifications in order to be eligible to become a teacher.
